Description
Porcelain sculpture which is, in fact, a lidded box made of two trompe l'oeil figures of books. An envelope, a notepad, and scraps of paper, all in clay, rest on top of the closed book. The bottom book has a light green cover and imitated printing. The closed book has a pale blue cover and tan spine on which appear 'shaw' and 'hog eye pr.' The envelope is the artists best deceit, incredibly thin and complete with stamp and postmark.
